STEVE THORPE, President
Steve Thorpe founded Adaptive Communication in December, 1997, and has served as President of the company since its inception. A 22-year veteran of the Information Technology industry, Steve is responsible for developing and implementing high-level strategies and managing the overall operations and resources of Adaptive.
Prior to founding Adaptive, Steve was a sales executive at Bay Networks, where he served in various sales and sales management positions over a four-year period. Steve began his career at Cabletron Systems, and spent several years at Peripheral Innovations as a sales executive.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and has since been recognized for numerous individual achievements throughout his career. He has also accepted many awards on behalf of Adaptive Communications, which was recently named one of "New Hampshire's Top Private Companies."
MICHAEL RAMSEY, Vice President of Business Development
Mike Ramsey has served as Vice President of Business Development for Adaptive Communications since January, 2007. In this role, he is responsible for developing business strategies to promote growth in revenue and market share. Mike brings more than 25 years experience in the Information Technology industry to his position at Adaptive.
Prior to joining Adaptive, Mike spent 10 years at Staples, Inc., where he served as Vice President of Technology. His responsibilities included the design, implementation, and support for Staples' worldwide technical infrastructure and heading up a team of architects and engineers to develop advanced solutions for both internal and customer use.
Over a 17-year tenure with Dun & Bradstreet Corporation and its subsidiary Dun and Bradstreet Software (formally McCormack and Dodge) Mike held a variety of positions, most recently Director of Telecommunications. He holds a degree in Information Systems from Northeastern University and has studied at Boston College.
BRENT MCLEOD, Director of Sales
Brent McLeod is Director of Sales and co-founder of Adaptive Communications. A 19-year sales veteran in the Information Technology industry, he is responsible for driving sales growth, leading the Sales team, and identifying new market opportunities.
Prior to co-founding Adaptive, Brent was a sales executive at Peripheral Innovations, where was a consistent leading sales producer over an eight-year period. Brent has won numerous awards for sales excellence throughout his career.
He graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1989 with a degree in History.
STEVE NOLTE, Director of Technical Services
Steve Nolte joined Adaptive Communications in March, 1998. In his role as Director of Technical Services, he is responsible for driving professional services growth, overall leadership of the engineering team, and identifying new service opportunities. Steve has been in the Information Technology industry for more than 20 years.
Prior to joining Adaptive, Steve worked as an engineer at Bay Networks where he was responsible for Alpha testing next generation products. He also spent time at Dun and Bradstreet Software and Prime Computer in various engineering roles. He has both hands-on and high-level management experience in both Voice and Data Networking and Systems Engineering.
Steve attended Nichols College and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He holds a degree in Technical Management.
Rich Dube, Director of Security Consulting
Rich Dube joined Adaptive Communications in February, 2001, with responsibility for overseeing all security service operations, leadership and mentoring of the consulting team, and standardizing and creating new service opportunities. Rich has more than 12 years of experience in the Information Security industry.
Prior to joining Adaptive, Rich worked as a Senior Manager at Staples where he was responsible for security, Unix, and networking groups for the .com division. He also spent time at Analog Devices and an individual consulting practice. Rich was trained by the U.S. Department of Defense in the areas of Information Security, System Administration, and Network Engineering. While in the military, Rich served a variety of roles including ISSO, ISSM, and WAN Manager at several high profile locations.
Rich attended the University of Massachusetts, University of Maryland, and University College, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. He is an active CISA and CISSP and holds numerous other technical certifications.
MARJORIE THORPE, Director of Financial Operations
Marjorie Thorpe has served as Director of Financial Operations for Adaptive Communications since December, 1997. In this role, she oversees all aspects of financial management and operations, provides guidance to senior management, and consults with external auditors on all finance related matters. Margie's dedication, work ethic, and team philosophy have contributed significantly to Adaptive's success.
Margie worked as a schoolteacher prior to joining the Adaptive team. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College in 1984 with a major in Education and a minor in Mathematics. An active education volunteer and avid sports fan, Majorie enjoys do-it-yourself projects around her home and spending time with her family.
